Assistant to the Food & Beverage Director of Grandlife Hotels
Role Overview
Grandlife Hotels is home to two iconic downtown NYC destinations; Soho Grand Hotel and The Roxy Hotel – each known for its distinct cultural energy, renowned nightlife, and exceptional food & beverage offerings. We are passionate about design, hospitality, music, and culinary excellence and we’re seeking a dynamic individual to support the Food & Beverage Director in driving high-impact operations and cultivating best-in-class guest experiences.
Position Overview
The Assistant to the Food & Beverage (F&B) Director will provide high-level administrative, operational, and cultural support across a diverse collection of venues including restaurants, bars, lounges, nightlife, and in-room dining. This individual will be a vital link between leadership and on-the-ground teams, helping to ensure communication is clear, priorities are met, and standards remain consistently elevated.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for someone who thrives on multitasking, has a deep understanding of hospitality service, and is passionate about the NYC F&B scene.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Project Coordination
- Manage calendars, meetings, and cross-property project timelines
- Draft, edit, and distribute communications, reports, SOPs, and presentations
- Maintain digital and physical filing systems for contracts, financials, and departmental records
Operations & Reporting
- Compile weekly/monthly reports on labor, revenue, and inventory
- Support outlet reporting via POS, BackOffice, and Opera Cloud systems
- Track department-wide initiatives to ensure follow-through
People & Culture
- Help coordinate training, onboarding, certifications, and reviews for venue managers
- Support team communications and org chart updates
- Represent the Director in meetings and foster a positive internal culture
Strategic & Confidential Support
- Assist with vendor coordination, competitive research, and project development
- Handle sensitive information with discretion
- Provide behind-the-scenes leadership to help drive departmental success
What we are looking for
- FOH Experience (required): You understand floor operations, service flow, and team dynamics
- BOH Exposure (a plus): Familiarity with culinary systems and chef-side logistics
- Tech-savvy: Comfortable with Resy, SpotOn, TripleSeat, and inventory systems
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and professional email communication
- Flexible and adaptable schedule to meet business demands
- Energetic, personable, organized, and passionate about NYC’s cultural landscape
- Able to “walk the walk” — this is an executive support position with high visibility
